I am Amanda Flasck, CMT, CST. I have been participating in the healing arts since 2009 and have worked in a variety of environments practicing bodywork. From chiropractic offices to software companies, I am familiar with the wide range of conditions for which clients seek bodywork. Whether it’s Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI), frozen shoulder, migraine headaches, or generalized muscle tension from life’s everyday stresses, receiving bodywork can ease the discomfort associated with these conditions and promote the body’s healing process.

I received my training at the McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, CA, an accredited and highly regarded institute for education in the healing arts. I am certified through the state of California to practice massage therapy as a Certified Massage Therapist.

I am certified to perform Esalen massage, deep tissue, Craniosacral, hot stone, pregnancy and infant massage, chair, and Reiki and draw on these modalities to create unique sessions based on the needs of my client. I also practice cellulite reduction massage, which can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite on the stomach, hips, and buttocks.

Bodywork benefits everyone. Relaxation is therapeutic; when we take care of ourselves we are healthier and happier. Bodywork should feel good! So when we work together, I go slowly and listen to the body before accessing the deeper tissue layers. This avoids bruising and excessive soreness the following day.

I enjoy working with the body and find it a source of constant inspiration and curiosity. Exploring the connection between the mind and the body is foundational to my practice– at its best, bodywork helps to clarify this connection and integrates the parts of the whole.

I look forward to working with you!

Amanda Flasck, CMT, CST
